Leprazending/The Leprosy Mission Netherlands (TLM) is an international Christian organisation that strives for a world without leprosy and where people with a disability are fully included in society.
TLM is partner in the We are Able! (WAA!) consortium. The We Are Able! program, that runs from January 2021 to December 2025, is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands within the Power of Voices framework. We are Able! focuses on creating increased food security opportunities for women, men and youth with disabilities and other excluded groups. This is done by strengthening the lobby and advocacy capacity of civil society organisations (CSOs), specifically disabled people organisations (DPOs), resulting in more inclusive laws, policies, practices and norms. The program will be implemented in six African states (Burundi, DR Congo, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda) as well as in the Netherlands.
Within We Are Able! TLM is responsible for the capacity development of CSOs on lobby and advocacy and on disability inclusion and mainstreaming. Additionally, TLM will execute capacity development and lobby and advocacy activities on disability inclusion to internal and external stakeholders in the Netherlands.
